Timberline cuts a mountain range with a stand of pines running along its base. Sky and the gaps between trunks are removed entirely; what remains is one continuous piece of steel. The tree line does the work that a horizon usually does — it tells your eye how big the mountain is.

Bent edges frame the panel and hold it an inch and a quarter off the wall, so every opening reads as shadow rather than drywall. Hand-applied rust patina, sealed.
